PET MEMORIAL URNS
Following the return of their pet’s cremains in a “standard” crematorium urn, many pet owners wish to place the cremains in a more decorative urn that can be displayed in a prominent location. To satisfy this need, Thistledown has assembled a collection of urns created by local craftspeople from hardwood and stained glass. Polished brass, polymer resin and Memory Box urns are also available.

A general rule of thumb is to allow 1 cu. in. of urn capacity per lb. of live weight when determining the proper urn size. The actual capacity required will also be dependent upon the bone structure of the pet and the nature of any post-cremation processing of the cremains.

Hardwood Picture Urns:
Stunning hardwood urns for remembering your pet. Designed and fabricated by local cabinet maker, these urns reflect high quality craftsmanship. Suitable to display among your prized possessions. The urns hold a photo and an engraved brass plaque, if desired. These urns are available in three sizes and your choice of wood; oak or walnut

Sizes: Medium Horizontal - 58 cu in. Medium Vertical - 58 cu in. Large Vertical - 215 cu in. Add an engraved brass name plate to your pet’s photo urn with a personalized inscription.

Hardwood Box Urns:
Beautiful handcrafted hardwood box urns prepared by an Ontario artisan. Small available in ash; medium in walnut and oak. Add an engraved brass plaque of remembrance, if desired.

Wood/Size(s): Ash: Small - 30 cu in. Walnut or oak: Medium Horizontal - 58 cu in.

Hardwood Memorial Urns:
Small hardwood urns in oak or walnut to hold ashes of small pets (up to approx. 20 lbs.). Available with or without a photo cutout. Place flat on a desk or shelf, or hang the photo urn on a wall.

With Photo: Small - 4 cu in. Large - 16 cu in Without Photo: Small - 4 cu in. Large - 16 cu in. Small Memorial Urn with Feet: One size only - 8 cu in. This urn is available in oak, walnut and bubinga (rosewood) Add an engraved brass name plaque to any Memorial Urn.

Polymer Resin “Rock” Urns:
Fabricated from polymer resin and created with a simulated stone finish, this urn is lightweight, waterproof with a sealed closure, and impervious to UV rays. These urns have been designed for indoor or outdoor use and include an engraved name plate of remembrance. If your pet loved the outdoors, this may be a very fitting way to remember your special companion.

Polished Brass Urns:
Gorgeous high luster solid brass urns with tarnish-proof finish. Threaded dome lid.
